"My name is Matisse Brants, I’m only 15 years old and I’m from Belgium. Last year I started taking an interest in photography. Most of these pictures were taken last summer when I traveled to the U.S. and visited a lot of national parks.

The three darker landscape photos, as well as the one with the ‘Harmony Motel' sign, were taken in Joshua Tree National Park. The vibrant orange shots are from the Arches National Park in Utah and the mountainous landscape is in Death Valley, California. I think it’s important for the pictures to capture the exact vibe a specific place radiates, even if that means having to add more saturation or contrast.

I get most of my inspiration from other photographers I follow on Instagram like Neil krug and DexterNavy."
