︎ BESTIVAL: 'THE MOST COLOURFUL SHOW ON EARTH'
Returning to Lulworth Estate, Dorset for the second year running is one of the UK’s most eclectic shows. BESTIVAL promises to put on “the most colourful show on earth” in 2018 and will embrace a diverse line up featuring its most eclectic range of artists to date. Headliners include the likes of; London Grammar, M.I.A, Jorja Smith and the legendary Chaka Khan.
Bestival will welcome the appearance of some old favourites including; Plan B, Grace Jones and Silk City; amongst the new blood; Mura Masa, IAMDDB, Mabel, Thundercat and CASisDEAD. Significantly, Bestival will be headlining more female artists than any other festival this year. Music journalists have highlighted the lack of opportunities given to women for some time, with male artists often dominating the top headline spots at festivals. This years festival presents a turning point and I’m sure other festivals will be keeping a close eye.
Bestival will run from 2nd - 5th August this year and as always it’s not just about the music. Bestival is known for its experimental side and curator, Rob Da Bank has promised some quirky additions to this years event...
“As any Bestival veteran knows we don’t just do music, so come and check our Hot Yoga, Dubstep Dodgem rides, wood-fired hot tubs, AmbientLand craft tent, East 17’s Christmas Party!, and loads of circus-based trickery, including a Human Cannonball, high wire fire walking and a pretty buff strongman popping up on the Main Stage.”
